Have your delightful breakfast at the hotel. At 7:30 AM, you will be visiting Mt. of Olives to see the panoramic view of Jerusalem from atop the Mountain.
You will then proceed to visit the Church of the Ascension, a shrine located on the Mount of Olives. Part of a larger complex consisting first of a Christian church and monastery, then an Islamic mosque, it is located on a site the faithful traditionally believed to be the earthly spot where Jesus ascended into Heaven after His Resurrection. It houses a slab of stone believed to contain one of His footprints.
Pater Noster, or the Lord's Prayer, is a prayer in Christianity.Church of Dominus Flevit where Jesus wept over Jerusalem shortly before the destruction of the second temple.
Next, you will explore the Garden of Gethsemane, where Jesus was captured by the Romans after he was betrayed by Judas.
You will also see the Church of the Sepulchre of Saint Mary, also Tomb of the Virgin Mary, which is a Christian tomb in the Kidron Valley – at the foot of Mount of Olives, believed by Eastern Christians to be the burial place of Mary, the mother of Jesus.
Proceed to Mount Zion, a hill in Jerusalem. The term Mount Zion has been used in the Hebrew Bible first for the City of David and later for the Temple Mount, but its meaning has shifted and it is now used as the name of ancient Jerusalem's Western Hill.
Church of Saint Peter in Gallicantu is a Roman Catholic church located on the eastern slope of Mount Zion, just outside the Old (walled) City of Jerusalem.
Now you will view the Cenacle, also known as the "Upper Room" as the first Christian church according to Catholics. Other denominations believe the first church is the Church of Saint Peter. It is a room in the David's Tomb Compound in Jerusalem and was traditionally held to be the site of the Last Supper.
The Abbey of the Dormition is an abbey and the name of a Benedictine community in Jerusalem on Mount Zion just outside the walls of the Old City near the Zion Gate.
You will proceed to Ein Karem, a charming hillside village famed for its centuries-old holy sites to visit the Church of Visitation (Luke 1:39-56). It is a Catholic church that honors the visit paid by the Virgin Mary, the mother of Jesus, to Elizabeth, the mother of John the Baptist.
You will return to your hotel for an overnight stay and dinner.
